FERODO RACING EXTENDS ITS HIGH-PERFORMANCE RANGE
The Ferodo name is synonymous with racing, but the brake company is also renowned for its high-performance materials for use on track days and the road. Ferodo is exhibiting its latest products, including Super Formula, its innovative new brake fluid at Autosport Engineering, 14-15 January 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham.
The road legal Super Formula exceeds the performance of traditional fluids with a dry boiling point of 330 degrees, higher than any other product on sale, which makes it suitable for racing applications. It also has an excellent viscosity index at both high and low temperatures, while remaining easy to bleed, unlike rival ‘high viscosity' products on the market.
Super Formula will be an addition to Ferodo Racing's core products at the show alongside the high-performance brake pads that further enhance its competition range. The DS3000, DS1.11 and DS2.11 are world-renowned pure-race compounds. Benefitting from competition developments, the DS2500 is one the world's foremost race/high-performance crossover materials making it ideal for use on track days, and DS Performance is a road-legal pad with race-level performance.
There will be information and staff on-hand to explain the Ferodo Racing range and how to choose the best compound for each specific requirement.

SKELTA RACECAR LAUNCHED IN THE UK AT AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL
Skeltas have been winning road rallies, races, sprints and hillclimbs in their native Australia for the past six years, but have been unavailable in the UK or mainland Europe, until now.
Two versions of the road-going Skelta competition car, the Spyder and the G-Force, will be launched at Autosport International, on 14-17 January 2010 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Most road-going competition cars require costly upgrades to make them race-ready. The super-light, ultra-tough Skeltas on the other hand, leave the factory with all the power, handling and braking they require to win straight out of the box.
The Skelta's power comes from either a supercharged 340bhp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Honda unit or the 460bhp 3.0-litre V8 Hartley engine and both engines drive through a Honda six-speed transmission.
The radical-looking chrome molybdenum steel spaceframe is reinforced with a centre tunnel and sidepods made of a carbonfibre/aluminium sandwich. The body is crafted entirely from carbonfibre composite, and the extensive use of strong but lightweight materials results in a dry weight of a mere 720kg.
