Round 2 of the Petron XCS Championship was even more exciting than the first Round. The Petron/SRA cars took the lead at the start as Louis and Miguel Ramirez once again pulled a good start and led the field. Behind them Kookie Ramirez had a problem and dropped behind Pocholo Ramirez, Ferdie Ong (Toms) and Mike Aguilar (Morespeed).

The two leaders could not pull away from the others and on the next lap Pocholo Ramirez got past Miguel and started to catch Louis. There was action everywhere as the cars separated into groups to battle for position. Ferdie Ong had slipped by Miguel Ramirez at the hairpin. Entering the turn 12, there was contact between Miguel and Ferdie, as Miguel went for a gap that was not there. The contact dropped both of them back behind Mike Aguilar and Kookie Ramirez. Miguel Ramirez, later had to pit with suspension damage.

"I do not know what he was doing" complained Ong "One second no car and then bang I get hit in the side".

"I locked my brakes" remarked the repentant Miguel Ramirez "I feel really bad for Ferdie, we were having a good run and I made a mistake"

The battling trio of Dominic Bon, Archie Patdu and Motokazu Kimura, resumed their contest from Round 1.

These three were never more than a few car lengths apart, they kept trying on as the race went on. With 4 laps to go Kookie Ramirez had gotten past Mike Aguilar, and Nilo Pazcoguin (Redline Racing) had gotten past Tom Pastor(Team TEC).

Once again the elder Ramirez slipped by his son to get take the lead and then he was to hold it. The checkered flag flew for the Legend of Philippine Circuit Racing, taking his second win of the series. Louis Ramirez in second and Kookie Ramirez in third, another sweep for the team. Ferdie Ong again won the B rated drivers class ahead of Derrick Yu Tien (Intense Racing) and Mike Aguilar set the fastest time of the race and won the C rated drivers class ahead of Nilo Pazcoguin (Redline Racing)and Dominic Bon.

Will this be another year of Petron/SRA domination? Well according to the winner it may not be " From the competition I have seen, we will not be able to dominate this year. Ferdie Ong, Mike Aguilar, Nilo Pazcoguin are all there. They will get faster and should be able to challenge for the win in the future".
