MAY 6 AND 7: ALTAMONT MOTORSPORTS PARK OPENS ITS 2006 SEASON

TRACY, Calif., May 3, 2006 - Altamont Motorsports Park, the newly updated and expanded racing facility located between Livermore and Tracy, Calif., will open its 2006 Race Season this week end, May 6 and 7. On Saturday May 6, racing action will feature the West Car, Buzz Bomb, Pro Truck and Spec Motor Modified Divisions. On Sunday, May 7, Altamont Motorsports Park, now NASCAR®-sanctioned, will host the inaugural event in a full season of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series. The Western Late Model cars will highlight the Sunday NASCAR lineup, which also includes the Grand American Modified, American Limited and Mini-Super Truck Divisions.

Gates open at Noon on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, and events are scheduled to start one hour after the gates open. Tickets for both events are available at the gate or online, through a convenient ClickNPrint ticket service, at www.altamontracing.com/tickets.html and from the home page of www.RMPracing.com. Tickets for Saturday's event are $20 (Adult), $15 (Senior) and $10 (Child). Tickets for Sunday's event are $15 (Adult), $10 (Senior) and $7 (Child). A special $35 family ticket is available for two adults with two children for the Dodge Weekly Racing Series events.

Although hampered by rain delays in the early months of this year, Altamont Motorsports Park has accomplished significant facility upgrades and expansions. Competitors and fans alike will note a widened 1/2-mile oval, as well as a new road course, drifting course, and figure-8 course that integrate with the existing 1/2-mile and 1/4-mile paved ovals - the well known tracks at the historic Altamont facility. New track lights, a paved paddock area, a new sound system, and improved hospitality and food services add to fan and driver enjoyment at the track.

Altamont Motorsports Park was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Riverside Motorsports Park, LLC (Atwater, Calif.), with the acquisition by Riverside Motorsports Park, LLC of Altamont Raceway Park in January 2006. Management is led by John Condren, Chairman and CEO of Riverside Motorsports Park and Altamont Motorsports Park; and Kenny Shepherd, Altamont Motorsports Park's President and General Manager.

The full Altamont Motorsports Park 2006 season schedule, bringing together many types of racing in a host of events, is posted on the company's Web site at www.AltamontRacing.com
