In the city of 9 de Julio the Turismo Carretera disputed its fourteenth round of the season.

The whole weekend was dominated by the Ford driver, Henry Martin. On Saturday he took the pole position followed by the two Chevrolets of the champion Guillermo Ortelli and Cristian Ledesma.

On Sunday morning Martin comfortably won his series with Occhionero (Ford) and Bessone (Dodge) behind. Ortelli won in the second series followed by Marcos Di Palma (Chevrolet) and Emiliano Spataro (Chevrolet). The third series was also dominated by Chevrolet with the fight between Ledesma first and Urretavizcaya in second position. The best Ford was Diego Aventín who won here last year his first race in T.C.

The final race started with Ortelli in first position because he won the fastest series followed by Martin second. Ledesma with an engine problem couldn`t start the competition from the third place. He started from the pitlane but he left the race after only one lap. A pity for him who get in this circuit his first victory with a Ford in 1998. Also Spataro, who started ninth, quit the race in the first lap after a mistake that put his Chevrolet out of the track and with no chances of come back.

Martin took the leadership in the second lap and never left it until the the chequered flag in spite of the intention of Ortelli of win in 9 de Julio. The most interesting during the first part of the race was the fight for the fourth position between Occhionero and Marcos Di Palma. In the lap fifteenth a mistake of Di Palma made him quit the race. Aventín, who was behind Marcos touched him and broke a little the radiator of his Ford. Because of this problem Aventín only could finish eighth.

Finally and after twenty-four boring laps of race, Henry Martin won followed by the Chevrolets of Ortelli and Urretavizcaya. This is the first victory for Martin in T.C. in 39 races.

In the fight for the championship Ortelli took an important advantage when it rest just two races. The champion leads with 195.50, 16 more than Aventín who is second with 179.50. The third Omar Martínez with 169 only finished twenty-two and he is at 26.50 of Ortelli.

The next race of T.C: will be in November 10th. in Buenos Aires. Aventín and Martínez must win if they want to fight the championship in the last race of Mar de Ajó.
