Meguiar's Car Care Company, generally thought to make some of the best car care finish products in the world, honored Bill Miller and Chip Miller this evening at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles as the "car collector hobby people of the year" with the second-annual Meguiar's Award.

The first Meguiar's Award was given last year to the founder of Kruse Publicaitons.

The Millers (who are not related) founded the Carlisle, Pennsylvania collector car meetings in 1974. Today, 9 different Carlisle Meets are held between April and October every year, drawing more than 450,000 vendors and buyers to an area more than 80 acres in size featuring more than 15 miles of display aisles to wander.

The Millers are generally credited with coining the phrase "collector car".
