Antonio Felix da Costa will participate in the Formula Renault UK Winter Series, a mini championship held in England over the first two weekends of November.

Joining forces with 2008 British Champions CR Scuderia, the Portuguese driver is undergoing intense preparations for the following season and has already tested at the Rockingham circuit where two of the four races that comprise the most prestigious winter championship for this racing class are held.

As usual, Antonio is feeling confident and said that "this was an important test because I adapted very well and at the end of the day broke the track record, which surprised everyone. The team is very professional and has a true winning spirit".

Satisfied with his effort, Antonio was also happy to reencounter many colleagues from his karting days and to remind them once again that he is there to fight for the Championship, just like it happened in the good old days in Italy.

Antonio's definitive program for 2009 is in the final stages of negotiations, and it is already certain that the young talent born in Estoril will be present in two of the most competitive and prestigious Formula Renault 2.0 championships being held in 2009, the Eurocup and Northern European Cup in which he was vice-champion this year.

Formula Renault 2.0 is regarded as a mandatory racing class for all young drivers aiming to reach Formula 1. The entire new generation of Formula 1 drivers, such as Massa, Kubica, Hamilton, Vettel and so many others, made their way through these championships that are surely the best and most reliable way to evaluate the skills of any formula driver dreaming of one day making it to the highest level of motorsport: Formula 1.

In a more personal tone Antonio added "I have been working hard and I have a sound structure behind me that supports and motivates me and so I only have to do what I love most and concentrate on my preparation program for 2009".
