Changes at The Top For Team AKA

Silverstone, 13 December 2004: Team AKA is delighted to announce that Paul Jackson has joined the team as partner to Andrew Kirkaldy. The two have joined forces to move Team AKA onto the next level and now hold the controlling share of the team.

Andrew Kirkaldy commented: "Paul was my engineer in Formula Opel way back in 1997 so I've known him a long time. He is regarded as the best engineer in Formula Renault and he is also a friend. We're both very pleased with the new structure within the team and look forward to making Team AKA a front-runner in Formula Renault and beyond."

Formerly Chief Engineer at Fortec Motorsport, Paul Jackson joins the team as it prepares for the 2005 Formula Renault season. He commented: "Andrew has already explained the reasoning behind my move and all I can add is that I think we'll make a great partnership. We're already on the road, testing in Albacete, Spain, running some drivers for 2005. I'm very much looking forward to next year."

Team AKA will continue testing in Spain for the rest of this week before taking a break for Christmas. An extensive test programme is scheduled for January and February.
