Pietro Fittipaldi takes one step closer to championship with eighth victory in succession
Championship leader Pietro Fittipaldi has been unstoppable this season, winning nine of the eleven races contested thus far.
Protyre Formula Renault Championship leader Pietro Fittipaldi has extended his points lead and his impressive win streak with a perfect weekend at Snetterton.

The 18-year-old grandson of Emerson Fittipaldi is doing his family name proud with yet another dominating performance. I spoke with the young racer about his near impeccable performance in 2014, and Pietro certainly wasn't expected this kind of success.
"I don't think anyone ever goes into a season thinking they are going to win so many races," he told Motorsport.com "I honestly didn't think I wasn't going to be able to win so many, and I couldn't be happier."
No walk in the park
Despite the fact he swept the weekend at Snetterton, it was definitely no walk in the park. Talking about the fight, Pietro noted that all three races presented their own unique races, saying "We didn't have the best qualifying for the first one (qualifying sets lineup for both Race One and Race Two); the track was a bit damp."
"It was really hard the first two races because I had to try to get them on the start or work to pass them during the race," said Pietro. "It was definitely difficult for the first two races but even the last race was really hard because the guy in second really stayed with me. None of the three races were easy."

11 races have been run so far in the 2014 edition of the Protyre Formula Renault Championship and Pietro has taken the victory in nine of them. "I'd say probably this last one (was the most difficult to win), it was pretty hard," he admitted to Motorsport.com.
"We were pushing hard and in this championship, you have only one set of tires for the entire weekend. So in the final race, the tires were really worn and I was having to drive the car sideways all the time. I was trying not to make mistakes with the other guy right behind me and I was going all over the place as well."
As for his expectations going into the penultimate race weekend at Croft, a confident Pietro stated goals that are certainly attainable.
"We're going in there to win two more, extend the streak to ten and hopefully clinch the championship at Croft."
