MEXICO CITY.- The mexican Picho Toledano proved he is one of the drivers to beat at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez after dominating Sunday Mexico GP, second round of the Panam GP Series. It was the first victory on the 4.475 kilometers track for the mexican in the Formula Renault 2000. He led all laps.
"It's great to be at Mexico City and win here," said Toledano. Toledano, 17 years, crossing the finish line 7 seconds ahead of second place finisher Arturo Gonzalez.
Giancarlo Serenelli, from Venezuela, drove a strong race, starting fifth and finishing third. He was two seconds behind Gonzalez at the checkered flag.
Hugo Oliveras, the poleman and Saturday winner, overcame early troubles to finish fourth.
Arturo Hernandez finished fifth. Gerardo Ivan Gonzalez finished in six, followed by Carlos Arellano, David Farias and the colombian girl Juliana Gonzalez.
The three times Karting World Champion Wesleigh Orr have bad luck and finish in 19, with engine troubles.
