DONINGTON PARK, United Kingdom, Feb. 3 - Sixteen-year-old CR Crews tested the new Renault Formula V6 car at Donington Park in England last week.

He also has a Champ Car test tentatively scheduled to occur within the next two weeks at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla. That test will be with Walker Racing.

The owners of the new Pam-Am Racing Series, Team AKA and Renault invited Crews to test the car that will be used in Renault's new Pam-Am Racing Series for the Donington Park test. That series has 10 double-race weekends planned for 2005 in Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada and the United States. His engineer for the test was Alex Vernava, the former Formula 1 engineer for Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Justin Wilson. The car has paddle shifters, substantial downforce and a 475-horsepower engine.

Crews was impressed with the car and the onlookers were impressed with him. He is considering competing in the Pan-Am Series as one of his options for the 2005 season.

The series champion will receive an all-expense-paid test with the Renault Formula 1 team and a fully-funded season in the 2006 World Series by Renault, a prize worth $750,000 in U.S. funds.
