Antoine Bessette leaves on a victory

The last two races of Formula Renault North American Series, which were scheduled to take place on October 30 and 31 at Fontana, California, have been cancelled.

It is a big deception for Antoine because he was on a roll. In fact he finished third and first at the last two events.

Finally he is standing third in the Championship points following Argentinian Ponte and Mexican Gomez, and in front of team mate Canadian Wilkins and Venezuelan Imery, who finished fifth.

"That is unfortunate because I feel like I was really improving. I think I still had a good shot at the Championship. Anyway I suppose I can say I am satisfied. It was the first time that I was participating in all races of a Series in motorized sport. My goal was to finish my races and with a bit of chance I saw the checked flag eight times out of eight. And of top of that I improved enough to battle for the Championship. But it is true that I was lucky to run the last six races with a really good team Aim Autosport."
