It started raining at 10:40 in the morning right after the warm-up lap of AFR round 2. The race had a 10 minutes' delay and all the teams decided to use slick tires for round 2. Zhicong Li, the 17 year-old Chinese from PTRS Team, brought home his very first winner trophy of AFR Int'l category. Sandy Stuvik, the 15 year-old Thai from Asia Racing Team (ART) captured 2nd while his teammate Suriya Bala finished the race 3rd.
As the race went on, the track turned wet and slippery. Zhicong Li managed to capture the spotlight as he started from 8th and moved up to position 3 before entering Turn 1 during lap 1.
