An amazing weekend completed Esteban Guerrieri at the first double round of the European Formula Renault Master at Brno, Czechoslavakia. The 18 years old driver won the two races (saturday and sunday) with a confortable gap over the rest of the competitors. Also on friday the Argentinian took the two pole positions and he broke the fastest lap of the track. Another sample of the talent of this very young driver. ¨It was a perfect weekend without mistakes¨ said Esteban.
Guerrieri, driver of the Cram team, led the 15 laps of race in saturday and he won with a gap of 6.554s over the second finisher, Kocheim Pascal.
¨I`m very happy with the result of this first race of the season for the European Master. We worked very hard with the Cram team. I started from the pole and in every lap I took a difference of half second to the other drivers. The car was fantastic and I didn`t have any problem¨, completed Esteban after the saturday competition.
The dominium of Guerrieri continue on sunday. ¨Like on saturday, today was great, very special, because this is my second victory at European level. With a great comunication with the team and with a hard work, we built a very good weekend and we took both races¨ he said.
Guerrieri confortably won the second race from the start to the chequered flag with a gap of almost two seconds, what shows the level of the Argentinian at this circuit, where he arrived fifth in 2001.
About the race Esteban said: ¨I made a good start taking the leadership. The car worked fantastic during all the competition, which gave me the chance to finish very good the race and with an important gap over the rest¨.
¨This result couldn`t be possible without the support of my family, the Lincoln Sport Group, the Cram team and my friends who are always with me¨, said Esteban after the podium.
After this brilliant weekend at Brno, Guerrieri leads the championship with 68 points, 32 over the German Robert Schuessen.
This was the tenth victory for Guerrieri in his activity in Europe, 4 in 2002 with the German Formula Renault, 2 in the Winter Tournament of the Italian FR, where he took the championship. In 2003 he has 2 victories in the Italian Formula Renault and this 2 of last weekend in the European FR.
The other Argentian driver, Rafael Morgenstern had a very difficult weekend with the Durango Team. He finished 14th. and 17th. in both races.
The next competition for the two Argentinians will be on June 8th. at Spa, Belgium for the Italian Championship.
