Charles Pic is working toward staying with the China Racing team for season two of the Formula E championship.
The former Marussia and Caterham F1 driver has participated in three races during the inaugural season, first for Andretti and then China Racing.
"I am in discussions with the team for next year but am focusing completely on the final races but I think it will come together," Pic told Motorsport.com.
"First we must finish the season but the plan is definitely to be racing in this championship next season."
Pic also talked to Motorsport.com about racing in other categories in conjunction with his Formula E commitments.
The Frenchman visited the WEC paddock in last November's 6 Hours of Bahrain and is known to have spoken with several teams.
"I am open on possibilities but must find the right opportunities at the right time. For sure the WEC and some other categories are very exciting and I am keen to do more racing."
Pic will race in the Monaco ePrix this weekend returning to the scene of the biggest win of his career at the Monaco GP2 race in 2011.
