London ePrix: Buemi on top ahead of crucial qualifying

After yesterday's race, Sebastien Buemi topped the second free practice ahead of the all-important qualifying session for the final round of the championship.

The second session ended with a red flag, when Amlin Aguri's Sakon Yamamoto hit the barriers with two minutes to go.

Buemi clocked the fastest time of the weekend with a 1:23.642 with 11 minutes to go in the session. Morning session pacesetter Loic Duval slotted in second 0.263s off the pace, while Oliver Turvey was third, just 0.004s slower than the Frenchman.

The top five were covered by 0.6s, with early pacesetter Lucas di Grassi ending up at fourth and Stephane Sarrazin fifth.

Championship leader Nelson Piquet Jr had a dramatic spin in the middle sector before the red flag came out, finishing sixth, a full second away from Buemi.

Virgin Racing's Fabio Leimer ended seventh while Simona di Silvestro and Karun Chandhok finished eighth and ninth.

Both used their second car during the practice; Chandhok hit the barrier in T9/10, bringing out the yellow flags early in the session, while de Silvestro's left-rear was damaged during the session.

The top 10 was rounded off with Daniel Abt, while Jean-Eric Vergne, after missing the morning session due to illness, completed 12 laps to finish a lowly 16th.
