It was a difficult day at the office for the Andretti Formula-E team who came away from Round Eight of the all-electric FIA Formula-E Championship in Berlin, Germany feeling frustrated with only a six points gain.
The Berlin ePrix was set within the 'Apron’ section of the former Tempelhof Airport, located just a short distance from the city centre. The tight and twisty 2.469-km anti-clockwise track featured 17 turns and provided a great spectacle for the 26,000 strong crowd, but an ultimately disappointing result for the American team who are now sixth in the current Championship standings.
Roger Griffiths, Co-Team Principal, Andretti Formula-E Team: “After a promising start to the race weekend we come away from Berlin disappointed in our performance during the race. Both drivers were frustrated by the handling issues they suffered so our engineering team will be investigating what happened and how to counter measure this. We expect to be back to our normal competitive selves at the next round in Moscow.”

“At the start of the race there was a little crash and I lost some positions trying to avoid it. In the second stint the car was extremely slow and we had massive understeer which we have to investigate because we were not where we should have been. I think eighth is the maximum we could have done today, which is far from ideal, and we are going to have to work really hard to get back on the first row.”
