Mercedes Formula E racer Stoffel Vandoorne hung on to land pole position for the second London E-Prix over Oliver Rowland and Alex Lynn in a rain-affected qualifying session. 

Lucas di Grassi set the pace in the final Formula E practice session ahead of the second London E-Prix, beating race one victor Jake Dennis and the disqualified Oliver Rowland. 

Nyck de Vries says the much-publicised unpredictability of Formula E is why Mercedes is “hating and loving” the championship as the team ended its poor form in the London E-Prix.

Both Nissan e.dams cars have been disqualified from the London E-Prix at the ExCeL Centre, which has left Sebastien Buemi ‘hurting’ after losing the best result of a “tough season”.

Robin Frijns reckons “absolutely ridiculous” defending caused his lengthy collision with Joel Eriksson, although the Swede has hit back at the “stupid” actions of his Formula E rival.
