The Ferrari junior's penalty comes a result of his collision with Tatiana Calderon in the closing stages of Sunday's wet sprint race at the Red Bull Ring.

The Monegasque hit Calderon on the approach to Turn 1 and, arriving into the corner out of control, collected the Colombian's Arden teammate Jake Dennis.

Leclerc will take the penalty on the same weekend that he is to make his Formula 1 free practice debut with Haas.

He currently leads the GP3 standings by five points over ART teammate Alexander Albon.

Meanwhile, Jenzer driver Akash Nandy will likewise drop five places on the grid for Silverstone, having exceeded the pitlane speed limit in the second Red Bull Ring race.
