CIRCUIT RICARDO TORMO, VALENCIA - GP2 SERIES OFFICIAL TESTS
The morning session has been useful to Trident Racing for finishing to reset all the bit and pieces mixed up during the final day of the Barcelona test. Once sure that all the parameters were again under control the drivers had the chance to exploit new tyres for a flying lap. This time Gimmi Bruni was the author of the best lap finishing the afternoon session at position six. While Andreas Zuber ended at the eleventh place, but considering his potential, the engineers are sure this is not the position he deserves. So this first day in Valencia can be considered a good one. Tomorrow weather forecasts say it will be raining, with a 40% possibility of showers, if this will be the case this wet situation will be a new testbench for the team.
GIMMI BRUNI # 26
"Finally after such a big amount of work in testing setup solutions I could experience the satisfaction of chasing the performance. Performance achieved quite easily but I lost a couple of tenths when a collegue in front slowed me a bit at turn four. I could have finished the session at third place but this is not a problem, the main thing is that my car is quite good so I'm happy for today and confident for tomorrow".
ANDREAS ZUBER #27
"I spent the morning making up my mind and finding the right mood after the Barcelona crash. We checked up everything, putting a great and peculiar care in setting the brakes. During the afternoon I went out trying a fast lap which was not bad but I know I could be faster. I accepted the team advice to take my time without the pressure to demonstrate something at any cost. I think this has been a very good advice because tonight I feel absolutely emotionally serene and confident as I usually am".
