SCUDERIA COLONI CONFIDENT FOR VALENCIA
Scuderia Coloni aims for a great showing in the Valencia weekend. The GP2 Main Series will hold the fourth event of the season on the street circuit created using the roads of the America's Cup harbour, racing alongside F1's Europe Grand Prix.
The Italian team is very confident looking to the Spanish race because this year it already showed a special feeling for street circuits closing the two Montecarlo races just shy of the podium. Even if Valencia, with two long straights and an higher average speed, is very different from Monaco, the team is ready to give its drivers two very competitive cars.
The drivers will have to make the most of them, but the team is very confident also from this point of view: Alberto Valerio has a great feeling with the Spanish track, proved with the third fastest lap in the race last year, beated only by Nico Hulkenberg and Vitaly Petrov. Also Vladimir Arabadzhiev is getting quicker and quicker race after race, and good results seem just around the corner.
The weekend will start on Friday with Free Practice at 11:55 and qualifying at 15:55. Race 1 will start on Saturday at 15:40 while Race 2 will be held on Sunday at 10:35.
Paolo Coloni: "Valencia is a special event, both for the track and for what's around it. The team arrives in Spain with a very positive mood and we know that aour drivers have everything it's needed to make two great races. Alberto showed in Monaco that he loves racing on street circuits so we expect a great performance, and Vladimir is progressing very well so he will have the chance to clinch some good results".
