The rain was awaited but did not come so the Trident Racing technical schedule was successfully fulfilled. During the morning, considering the ideal weather condition, the drivers went out on track looking for the fast lap, completely different job in the afternoon with long runs and pitstop practice. So Gimmi Bruni and Andreas Zuber positively ended the first stage of their job, the tests, while in a couple of days things will became serious for the opening of the GP2 Series 2006 championship. A very hard racing season is expected this feature being the key factor for the success of the entire movement.

GIMMI BRUNI # 26
64 laps - best lap 1'19"194

"This morning I improved my yesterday lap time which obviously makes me satisfied. I'm satisfied with the car as well because we found quite a good set up. Now a new adventure is going to start. Considering the very high level of competition seen during the tests, it will not be easy to bring good results home but this is simply one motivation more for me. I feel perfectly fit and ready to fight. For this I must thank the whole team, they all worked very hard to prepare our debut".

ANDREAS ZUBER #27
75 laps - best lap 1'19"694

"I must admit today I felt an emotion completely different from the usual. The championship is going to start and I drove trying to put together all the things I learnt during this first stage of testing. I improved my best lap, I practiced the pit stop procedure but always with the opening race in my mind. It's quite the time to begin and knowing how much the team is expecting from me I want to pay back the massive amount of work they did up till now".
