Stefano Coletti ready to hit Imola after the winning debut in Abu Dhabi
After the two rounds cancelled in Bahrain due to force majeure, GP2 Asia Series is about to get on track this weekend in Imola for the second and final round of the 2011 championship that announces to be an interesting and unexpected preview to the Main Series.
Stefano Coletti is one of the most awaited drivers on the Santerno track, thanks to the brilliant performance obtained a month ago, on the top step of the podium in race two in Abu Dhabi. The Monegasque driving for Trident Racing is currently sixth in the standings with seven points, just five points adrift the leader.
"I welcomed with enthusiasm GP2's comeback to Imola even if it came in peculiar circumstances; this is a full of history and technically interesting race track with up and down-hills alternated to fast and driven sectors. My season is started in the best possible way and together with Trident Racing I will aim at a good result in this round too. Weather forecasts promise abundant rainfalls for the coming weekend but this is a condition that does not worry me and that will put us in position to test the new Pirelli rain tyres on relatively cold temperatures.
Finally, I'd like to express my sincere support to all the people in Japan so terribly affected in the past few days".
