The 2007 GP2 Series Belgian weekend ended today at Spa-Francorchamps. The event, held together with the Formula 1 Grand Prix, was full of issues even in the second race, scheduled for today. Ricardo Risatti, who made contact with series leader Timo Glock in his installation lap, ended up in 18th, while Kohei Hirate managed to climb back from last to 13th. The season will be ending in two weeks with the last race at Valencia.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi (Team Principal)

"The best part of a weekend like that it`s the end. When the chequered flag ends Race 2 and you`re free to go home and focus on the next event. This one at Spa proved to be the worst and toughest of the year for us, also because of our team`s mistakes, that stopped our drivers in Race 1 and conditioned their Race 2. Despite such a bad situation, Kohei Hirate made a great job, and was able to make his way back after starting from the back. He was able to catch up with the experienced Zuber, clocking similar laptimes. Risatti involuntarily made contact with Timo Glock in the pre-grid laps while warming tires. No responsibilities can be identified by looking at the TV footage, but we`re anyway sorry for Timo and iSport that weren`t able to start today`s race. Our thoughts are running towards Valencia, where all the team will be called to keep it up with the maximum possible effort, in order to end the season with a great result".
