THE ITALIAN TEAM COLONI MOTORSPORT AIMS TO TAKE A PRESTIGIOUS RESULT AT THE BRITISH MOTOR SPORT HOME IN SILVERSTONE
SILVERSTONE - Just few days after the French Grand Prix, GP2 Series and Coloni Motorsport head to Silverstone circuit this week for the round 6th of the 2005 GP2 Series British Grand Prix. The circuit is one of the most prestigious of the race calendar and one of the favourite for Coloni Motorsport too.
The Silverstone circuit demands as precision set-up from the cars as well capability and courage from the drivers. The track is well known by all the drivers and teams, with a mix of fast corners like Becketts, a slow part, the Complex, and many change of direction.
Coloni Motorsport drivers Gimmi Bruni and Mathias Lauda aim to give to the team its first victory at Silverstone. Gimmi Bruni is currently third in the drivers standing (31 points) thanks to two best race laps taken at Magny-Cours last week and the Italian talented driver is very confident in car's performance. Silverstone is one of the Bruni's favourite circuit and the 24-years old last year have been showing good performance driving in F1. After a difficult week-end Mathias Lauda is determined to finish in the points and to improve his performance. The Austrian driver is looking forward to starting the free practice.
As always, the team's strategy decision will be crucial and therefore Coloni Motorsport has been working in his Italy-based workshop to prepare the race and to provide to the drivers a very competitive and reliable car.
