I had to start from the pit lane for the second race at Silverstone after I had a clutch problem and couldn't get into neutral on the grid. I believe it was a sensor problem which cause a glitch in the software. It's really annoying to have a problem like that when you're starting from third on the grid and in with a strong chance of winning.

Nevertheless, I focused for the start and it was going well I passed Lopez and Bruni my car was strong and I was doing well. Then I went about passing a couple of backmarkers who didn't make it easy and I ran wide on lap two in turn 15, but managed to catch the car. However we'd sustained some damage to the car and I had to pull into the pit lane to retire. It's a sad way to end a race when you have a good car. There was not much I could do.

Let's forget racing for a short while. Tuesday, this week, I will travel to Stuttgart and cheer for France in the World Cup when I watch the game against Switzerland one of my German sponsors kindly invited me to the game.

Then the programme of testing continues. We will be in Paul Ricard on June 27 and 28. Two weeks later, I will be ready to head to the next race in Magny-Cours, on the weekend of July 14-July 16. Magny Cours is a track that I know well because it is our team's home circuit. The factory is based very close to the track.

In 2006, I started from pole for the French Grand Prix there and I've always been fast so my goal is quite clearly to win both races then.
