BARWA ADDAX TEAM, ROMAIN AND VITALY CONSOLIDATE THEIR DOMINANCE IN BOTH TEAM AND DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP.

Romain Grosjean finished 4th in today's second GP2 Series race, at the historic British circuit of Siverstone and Vitaly Petrov crossed the finish line in 10th place. In the overall rankings Barwa Addax Team continue dominating in both team and drivers championships.

Romain Grosjean in a race with very few incidents, drove a conservative race making sure of keeping the fourth place which he started from on the grid. He was comfortably clear of his closest rivals and ensured his points lead, in what was a clean and pretty uneventful race.

Vitaly Petrov, started from a lowly 15th position on the start grid but after a good start he was able to climb five positions. However, once he got to 10th place he was unable to improve on his position. Silverstone is a difficult track for overtaking if the cars have a similar race rhythm.

After having completed four of the ten meetings this season the Barwa Addax Team dominates the team championship on 73 points. Their closest rival in the overall rankings is on 52 points with the third place team on 24 points. These numbers are a testimony to the superb season and to the magnificent work being carried out by team owner, Alejandro Agag and the whole team.

The Barwa Addax Team are also dominating the drivers category with Romain Grosjean, overall leader on 40 points followed by Russian team-mate, Vitaly Petrov on 33 points. There are two drivers tied third overall on 26 points, so despite what has been a difficult weekend for both drivers the present leader still maintains his advantage over the rest of his rivals.

The next event, which will be the halfway point of the season, will take place at the German circuit of Nurnburgring from the 10th -12th of July.
