Positive three days tests in Jerez for Trident Racing

Team will head to Malaysia, where the first season challenge for the 2013 GP2 Series will take place.

Three intense test days, disputed on the Jerez circuit, have launched the 2013 GP2 Series season.

Trident Racing entrusted the two one seaters on the track to Nathanael Berthon and Robin Frijns. Both have positively concluded the work plan foreseen the day before, collecting very important feedback given the next commitments.

With the exception of a few red flag interruptions, the three test days have had a linear development, allowing the twelve teams on the track to be able to complete the programmed work schedule.

Concluded the tests in Jerez, Trident Racing will be heading to the Barcelona circuit, where next week, from Tuesday to Thursday, the second conclusive pre-season test sessions will be disputed.

Terminated the Spanish tests, for teams and drivers it will be time to head to Malaysia, where the first season challenge for the 2013 GP2 Series will take place.

Maurizio Salvadori:"These three test days have been no doubt positive for us. We have worked well with both drivers, Nathanael Berthon and Robin Frijns who gave us back excellent feedback.

Nathanael brought home a great job with our engineers, he adapted quickly to the characteristics of our car and allowed us to complete all the work that we had foreseen in the program.

Indeed, thanks to his experience in the management of the tyres and the GP2 one seater, we we are able to test various set-up solutions.

With regards to Robin, it is important to underline that he was one of the only two debut drivers in these Tests, who had zero experience, as of last Tuesday, with the Dallara GP2 car and therefore with the management of the Pirelli tyres.

From the beginning however, Robin demonstrated that he was able to obtain excellent results. As we all know, this car is particularly demanding and it is renown how fundamental the management of the tyres are in order to stay in the Top- Ten.

Robin immediately demonstrated a great ability to adapt and quickly obtained very satisfying results standing out for his great potential.

All in all, it is important to highlight that on equal terms with the other drivers with used tyres, he was always in the first positions."
