Overall best lap time for Nico Rosberg

The 12 teams of the GP2 Series met at the Paul Ricard HTTT for a two-day test session (Tuesday and Wednesday), working on the development of the single seaters on the 3D (3,853km) track solution (out of the 112 possibilities of the track).

During these two days, the 12 teams and 24 cars completed over 10 000 km, using the track some 5 hours and 40 minutes each day out of a 6 hours running time.

For the first time of the season, the young drivers and the team managers even had the opportunity to test their cars and set-ups on a wet track Tuesday afternoon. The very nice and dry weather was back on Wednesday with great sunshine and track temperature of 49C. A very good test session to prepare a quite busy July month with four meetings and eight races.

ART Grand Prix made it all, as the team completed the greatest number of laps (1 205 km) and the overall fastest lap (Nico Rosberg) setting 1 :15.897, some 3/10th faster than the first of his 12 contenders all in the same second lap time.

The hard work of the teams pay off, the gaps are always smaller between the 24 drivers and the 12 teams, who even decided after this session to come back to the Paul Ricard HTTT to test several times before the end of the year.
