Negrao complete's Arden International's driver lineup
Rene Binder and André Negrao will contest the full GP2 season.
André Negrao (21) joins Arden International’s GP2 Series team for the upcoming season. The young Brazilian started his racing career in 2008 where he participated in Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula 3 Championships taking five podiums.
Julian Rouse: “With Arden’s involvement in FR3.5 aswell we were able to follow Andre’s performances and progress closely over the last 2 seasons. He produced some really strong results in what is a very competitive championship .There is always a lot to learn in GP2 as a rookie , but Andre looked like he adapted very well to the car in the Abu Dhabi in the tests and so we are confident he can have a strong first season. The important thing is that he fits in well with the team and works hard and we have no doubt he will do that.
André Negrao: “Team Arden has always been a reference for many drivers. Even before I arrived in Europe, the Team was renowned as a top team, worldwide. I’m proud to be part of such a great Team, which is an active part of Motorsport history here in Europe. I really can’t wait to start my work with them, and drive the car at Abu Dhabi in March during our first scheduled GP2 common tests. It is also a pleasure to find Rene Binder as team mate.”
