HO-PIN TUNG SECOND IN MONACO GP2-RACE

'Monaco has the prettiest podium of all.' This was the first reaction of a delighted Ho-Pin Tung after his successful second GP2-race this weekend in The Principality of Monaco. Today he made it to second place on the rostrum, after having scored valuable points yesterday because of his seventh place. The Trident-team had every reason for a big party; Ho-Pin Tung's teammate Mike Conway took the victory in Saturday's sprint race. Ho-Pin Tung could easily withstand the pressure of third man Parento. 'Every attempt of an attack I could parry.'

Frequent actions of the safety car dominated Saturday's race. 'My start was good, may be a little too much wheel spin, but after the first corner I was in second position.' Ho-Pin Tung had a different set up from his team mate, which made it impossible to attack him. 'We had chosen for a set up right between dry and wet, because the whole day there was a threat of rain. Mike had a dry whether set up and was quicker than I. Ho-Pin Tung managed to defend his position also because the perfect strategy of the Trident team. A black tie diner with HRH the Prince of Monaco was one of the consequences of this weekends' success of the young Chinese.
