Once again, the Sunday Sprint race provided an exciting spectacle for the race fans. Frustratingly, LOPEZ was on the verge of taking away a satisfactory result from this race when he was pushed out by another car with just a few laps to go.

From 7th on the grid (as he finished 2nd in race 1), LOPEZ did not have a great start but recovered well and in the first corner he managed to pass 2 cars on the outside line to finish the first lap in 6th position. He had some difficulties trying pass PICCIONE which lost him precious time. After he had passed the Durango driver, LOPEZ closed the gap on CAROLL by 1 second per lap and at that time was one of the fastest cars on track. Unfortunately, while LOPEZ was searching for the opportunity to pass CAROLL, he was hit from behind by PREMAT who tried a desperate pass on the Argentinean.

Fairuz FAUZY had another good start and overtook 4 cars in the 1st lap. However soon after this FAUZY had to race with braking problems and had no chance to overtake more cars. Fairuz is optimistic for Silverstone, one of the very few tracks he knows this season and the team holds high expectations for the young Malaysian who is showing very promising progress weekend after weekend.
