FDA -- The young talents take to the track in Istanbul

Istanbul, 28 May -- Jules Bianchi is back in action in the third round of this year's GP2 series, held here at the Istanbul Park circuit, on the same card as the seventh round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Also racing here are the GP3 drivers, for whom this is the second round, again featuring a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Mirko Bortolotti. At the end of the GP2 qualifying to decide the grid order for tomorrow's first race, the French Art Grand Prix driver set the twelfth fastest time in 1.35.676, completing a total of 13 laps. The pack is very closely matched with all twenty four cars within two seconds of one another. Starting from pole will be Davide Valsecchi (1.34.860) the Italian driver entered by Sport International, while his team-mate, Oliver Turvey (1.35.135) starts from third. Sandwiched between them is the Rapax team's Pastor Maldonaldo (1.34.875.) The GP3 youngsters are making their very first appearance here in Turkey and unfortunately, Bortolotti on Barwa Addax Team car could do no better than twentieth with a time of 1.49.246. Topping the time sheet in an unpredictable classification is Manor Racing's Ryo Haryanto (1.48.022) followed by Esteban Gutierrez (1.48.069) in the Art Grand Prix car and the RSC Mucke Motorsport driver, Renger Van Der Zande (1.48.238.) The juniors have their first races tomorrow: the GP2 competitors at 15h40 local time and the GP3 runners at 17.20
