Promising final test in Barcelona.

iSport international have been in Barcelona at the Circuit de Catalunya this week for the final GP2 group test of the 2009 season as a testing ban kicks in to help reduce costs.

Since the last test at Paul Ricard Circuit iSport's mechanics and engineers have been working tirelessly back at the workshop after making an engine change to Diego Nunes' No 4 car after some technical problems. After a difficult last test two weeks ago, iSport has run an intensive testing program in Barcelona ahead of the first GP2 race at the same circuit in May.

During the three day test the team has run set up work, race and qualifying simulations. The test has been positive and Dutch iSport driver Giedo van der Garde posted the 4th fastest time on the last day of the test on Wednesday after making some significant improvements. There have been no major problems as both drivers completed their test programmes without any major incidents.

The cars will now return to the workshop where more work and preparations will be made ahead of the first race which takes place in Barcelona on 9th May.
