Davide Rigon cruised to his first points finish in the GP2 Main Series, as he ended up in 8th place at the end of Race 1 at the Hungaroring. Thanks to yesyerday's result, he'll be able to start from the pole today. After starting from 9th, Rigo passed 5 cars at takeoff, taking 4th at the first corner. Davide was then back to the pits for the mandatory stop on lap 14, and came back in 8th place, which he kept until checkered.

Ricardo Teixeira was less lucky. After a positive start, he ended lap 1 in 20th, and thanks to a late pit strategy, he climbed up to 4th. After being back on-track, the Angolan driver defended himself from the attacks of Michael Herck, before being stopped by a spin on turn 12 that ended his day with 8 to go.

Race 2 will be taking off today at 10:30, and will be broadcasted on RAI 2 and Sky Sport.

All the personnel of Trident Racing was shocked by the accident happened to Felipe Massa during Qualifying for the Grand Prix of Hungary. Te team wish him a complete recovery, and wait him to be back at the wheel of his Ferrari soon.

Davide Rigon. "I'm really happy for the whole team as well as myself. The points finish we scored is really important, especially as it's a rebound after the many bad days we had. The race had a positive start, with a picture perfect start following a good tire and brake warming. I was able to keep 4th place at the beginning, but then I started to experience stability problems at the rear end. The pit timing choice didn't pay off, and I lost a couple more positions, but we'll have the chance to recover today, when I'll be starting from the pole position. If I'll be able to make another good start a really positive performance should definitely follow".

Ricardo Teixeira. "At the start, I managed to exit the first two corners unscattered, despite all the chaos due to the accidents that involved several cars I had in front. The race has been quite up-and-down, as I committed some mistakes that cost me time before the pit-stop. After the change, I pushed hard, clocking my fastest time of the day. Unfortunately, a braking mistake made me spin. I hope to be more lucky today".
