HO-PIN TUNG DNF WITH BROKEN DRIVESHAFT

Immediately after the start of the second GP2 race in Hungary a disappointed Ho-Pin Tung stepped out of his GP2 car due to a broken left driveshaft. During the first race on saturday the Dutch-Chinese driver drove a strong race to finish in 9th place, a good position to start the second race from. Unfortunately he could only finish the warm-up lap before his car broke.

'What a shame,' tells Ho-Pin after this mornings' race. 'My lap times were very competative but unfortunately I could not have a clear lap in qualifying which resulted in 15th starting place. In the first race I could make up a couple of positions and finished 9th. It was a very hard fight, just missing out on the 8th place and pole position for the second race.'

About the second race Ho-Pin explains: 'We made some small adjustments in the car setup and I was looking forward to achieve a good result. Immediately after the start my race was over due to a broken driveshaft. Since the first race of the season we were always a little bit behind the others but every weekend we are improving. This weekend I could fight hard and achieve my personal best result of the year. But of course we will continue to work hard.'

Ho-Pin Tung is looking forward to the next race in 3 weeks time in Turkey. "We still have a lot of work to do but we have a good solid basis to start from. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and have some good results.'
