Hungaroring, 30 July -- The GP2 series reaches round seven here at the Hungaroring and this afternoon, the cars took to the track which is also hosting the twelfth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Qualifying has only just ended on the twisty Magyar track, fixing the grid positions for tomorrow's first race: on the top slot is Sam Bird (Art Grand Prix) in 1.27.864, followed by Sport International's Davide Valsecchi (1.27.907) and Oliver Turvey (1.27.976.) Jules Bianchi was eleventh quickest in 1.28.375 in the other Art Grand Prix car.

Apart from the young Frenchman, another student of the Ferrari Driver Academy is also in Budapest: this afternoon, Mirko Bortolotti took part in the first free practice session for the GP3 race: topping the time sheet was Nico Muller (1.38.181) followed by Pal Varhaug (1.38.452) both men in two of the three cars entered by the Jenzer Motorsport team. Next up was current series leader, Esteban Gutierrez, third in 1.38.453 (Art Grand Prix.) Our Italian driver was took his Addax team car to fifteenth place in 1.39.036. Both series have their first races tomorrow, starting at 15.40.
