GARY DAVIES JOINS COLONI AS CHIEF ENGINEER

HOCKENHEIM - Two weeks after the British Grand Prix, GP2 Series and Coloni Motorsport head to Hockenheimring this week for the round 7th of the 2005 GP2 Series German Grand Prix. The circuit is one of the favourite for Coloni Motorsport, who took his first FIA F3000 International victory in 2003 with Giorgio Pantano in the renewed circuit.

On the Coloni GP2 Technical Department, the Italian team is pleased to announce that Mr Gary Davies has been appointed as new chief engineer and He will attend all the remaining races of the 2005 season. Davies is one of most experienced and successful chief engineer in the European feeder categories and together with Coloni Motorsport is aiming to achieve many prestigious results.

The Hockenheimring demands good traction from cars and tyres; the track is well known by all the drivers and teams, with a mix of slow corners like the Hairpin and the famous Motodrome.

Coloni Motorsport drivers Gimmi Bruni and Mathias Lauda aim to give to the team its second season victory at Hockenheim. The German track is one of the Bruni's favourite circuit and the 24-years old last year have been showing good performance driving in F1 last year.
