The GP2 Main Series is about to get on track at Nurburgring (Germany) for the first of the two rounds scheduled for the coming ten days, the second being in Budapest (Hungary).
Stefano Coletti already had the chance to race on the German track in several occasions, starting from the debut in Formula BMW and also in Formula Renault 2.0, up to his 2009 season in the Formula 3 Euro Series.
The legendary German autodrome awarded Stefano with a lot of satisfaction so far and he can be considered as a specialist of this circuit; the career progression made Coletti's ambitions grow in parallel and the Monegasque can now constantly aim at top positions in the closest series to Formula One.
With four rounds still to go, the standing is as tightest as ever and seven drivers are all within sixteen points. Coletti is currently ninth at 16 points, with a victory in his scoreboard and a eight points gap to the fifth place, an objective that could even be improved by the end of the season.
"In the latest two rounds of Valencia and Silverstone I set the fastest lap of the race and this highlights the fact that my high level of competitiveness has been constant throughout the season. Some episodes did not play in my favour and had a negative impact on the classification, such as the inconveniences at the start on which we are still investigating. We still have the concrete chance of getting a prestigious final position and we will carefully work towards that".
