Durango in top positions in the tests at Le Castellet Durango ends it's two day test at the French circuit, Paul Ricard, with the best time (01:13.595) recorded by the Frenchman Frank Perera during the morning session. With this further success the Durango camp confirms it's status as the most competitive and gutsy of all the teams in this round of GP2 tests for the 2007 championship.
Today the cars were driven by: Frank Perera and Dominick Muermans.
Despite it being his first time at the wheel of a Durango car, the Frenchman, Perera immediately established a good working relationship with the entire team and this helped him to record the best overall time over the two days.
On the second day of the tests the Dutch driver, Muermans, confirmed the positive impression he made on day one. Today he also achieved more than satisfying results given that he is a debuting driver in this category. Muerman showed excellent potential that will surely enable him to reach his goals.
Frank Perera Time: 01:13.595
"I'm very happy with this test's result. I had a good feeling with the car from the outset as it had been adapted to my driving style. Because of the work done to the car I was able to achieve the best overall time of the test and keep top positions throughout the day. I want to thank the team for all their hard work."
Dominick Muermans Time: 01:15.420
"This was the second test day with Durango and I'm able to say things are looking more than good. Today I was certainly more confident than yesterday as I was more familiar with the car and therefore made fewer mistakes."
