DAVIDE CONTINUES TO GO FAST

Very good performance for Davide Valsecchi at the end of the first GP2 Main Series test day at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. During the morning session he clocked the fastest time, in the afternoon he finished seventh, but his morning time is the second fastest of the whole day. Marcello Puglisi took P18 in both sessions which is quite a respectful performance considering that he did not drove a GP2 car since his Monaco debut. Tomorrow his seat will be taken by the Brazilian Carlos Iaconelli. These are the drivers comments of the day. Davide Valsecchi: "This morning I have been really fast! We worked so well I have been able to set my time without problems, in other words everything went for good which is not that common in our sport. In the afternoon, on the contrary, when we were ready to try another flying lap the red flags vanished our attempt. Let's hope tomorrow thing will be good both in the morning and in the afternoon". Marcello Puglisi: "Considering I did not drove a GP2 car since my Monaco debut, I am quite satisfied about the job we did today. I started quietly getting better during the day till P12, then, in the final stages, the red flags did not let my finish in such a position but it's alright even like this. Now I hope to put together a program in order to be present in GP2 a bit more often".
