The Monegasque driving for team Rapax, current championship leader, posted today his quickest time in 1'29"213 proceeding Fabio Leimer (Racing Engineering) as his main rival in the title fight ended sixth.

The pole position was set by Marcus Ericsson (Dams), followed by Stephane Richelmi (Dams).

The second row of the grid went to Felipe Nasr (Carlin) and Sam Bird (Russian Time).

Stefano Coletti: "Even if the fifth place does not meet our expectations we are quite hopeful for the race; our potential was worth the front row and surely we will get the most out of it in tomorrow's feature race.

A small mistake in the third sector today in the last attempt cost me a few tenths but the car is quick and I will try to start well and slot in the top positions right away".
