Clivio completes successful testing programme and continues his blistering pace

The GP2 series' teams were in action at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France for two days of testing on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 June. Clivio covered 65 laps of the 3.853km '3D' track configuration and posted the second fastest time on Tuesday and the fourth fastest on Wednesday.

The Durango team's programme concentrated on set-up work for the forthcoming Magny Cours race on 3 July. On the Tuesday testing was interrupted by intermittent rain and then heavy rainfall in the last hour. Clivio managed nonetheless to complete 47 Laps and post the second fastest time of the day of 1:16.903, behind Nico Rosberg's1:16.380.

On Wednesday track temperatures improved with sunny skies all day. Clivio completed 18 laps concentrating on suspension work and small changes to the set-up. Clivio improved on his best time from Tuesday by almost half a second to post a 1:16.453 placing him fourth on the timesheets.

Clivio:
"We had a very productive test session here. We started with the car exactly as it was at Nurburgring and only needed to make small set-up changes to adapt to the track and weather here. I am very happy with the car as it is obviously competitive which bodes well for the future. In previous test at this circuit we were always low down the timesheets so obviously we have made a big step forward. Roll on Magny Cours!"
