Campana, who's lining-up for his maiden run in the GP2 series, ended a tough race without mistakes and accomplished his early goals. His 15th-place result will enable him to take-off from the 8th row on tomorrow's Race 2.

For Berthon, Race 1 lasted only a few hundred meters as the Frenchman suffered a problem to his engine, which lost revs before turning off for good. In the closing race of the series' Italian weekend, Berthon will be starting from the back of the pack. Race 2 is scheduled at 10:35 AM Italian Time with live coverage by the Sky Sport network.

Sergio Campana: "The start hasn't been great but I knew I would have to familiarize with this kind of clutch to fint the right attack point. I managed to exit the first-corner chaos unscathed and I set a good pace. The team called me back to the pits for an early tire-change, but I think I managed the wear well as I turned my fastest laps towards the end.

I was disturbed a little by an issue with the brake pedal that prevented me from pushing the braking points too hard, but I'm happy to have accomplished the goal I had set for myself. I hope to continue the weekend in the best possible way with a good Race 2".

Nathanael Berthon: "The story of my race is very short today. I reached the first chicane, and engine lost revs and turned off. I had other cars everywhere and I feared I would have been hit from behind. Luckily it didn't happen, but that's the only positive note of the day".
