Bad luck at Monte Carlo does not undermine the optimism among DAMS

Stéphane Richelmi: "I'm a little disappointed, but with the performance of the car, I'm sure we'll be at the forefront in England.""

Monegasque roulette confirmed spate suffered by the champion double teamed. Especially for Marcus Ericsson, helpless victim of a huge "casino" to turn Sainte-Devote at the first race. Richelmi saved some points, but if the pickings are slim, performance for optimism.

Not finding the perfect settings and therefore lacking a bit of confidence, the pilots flew medium qualifications, while they occupied the front lines during the previous appointment.

The system of the two groups, especially in Monaco, even accentuated through this, Marcus starting from the 6th line of the 9th and Stephane.

The first race lasted only a few hundred yards to Marcus Ericsson caught in the pileup triggered the first round by Johnny Cecotto. Car badly damaged, he could not leave. Richelmi managed to escape unscathed and could jump in second start in 6th position.

But having changed tires a bit early, he could not resist the end of the race and was ranked 9th, having lost 8th place - synonymous with pole for the sprint race - on the last lap.

The second round was therefore a path for Marcus cross, blocked behind slower drivers and ranked 18th. Stéphane suffered a similar fate, but managed to take the point for 8th place. In these difficult circumstances, the times then allowed to think that the tunnel is near.

François Sicard, CEO: "The feelings are still mixed at the end of the weekend. Marcus continued by the lack of success. Without fault, it has been removed by accident. Stéphane had a very good race sprint, very strong, fast and constant. But we had perhaps not as effective as cars in recent races and it did not help the drivers. However, we have a little break before the next round, we will work very hard and I am convinced that we will return to the forefront. "

Marcus Ericsson: "Bad luck strikes again! This is unfortunately the race, especially here in Monaco. I could not do anything in the crash starting in race 1 and obviously, I was also penalized for a second because I got stuck behind slower cars. But we will continue to work and I know the team has the ability to play a leading role. So I am confident for Silverstone. "

Stéphane Richelmi: "After not terrible skills, I could escape the carnage of the first round and start the sixth. I should normally be a first long stint, but we have anticipated my stop and then I did 33 laps with the tires of the qualification. At the end, they were cooked and I could not resist Quaife-Hobbs in the last round.

Throughout the sprint race, I was faster than those who preceded me, but it was impossible to find an opening. I'm a little disappointed, but with the performance of the car, I'm sure we'll be at the forefront in England. "
