Gregory Romanelli and Jaques Duyver topped their respective categories in the final qualifying session for the Ferrari Finali Mondiali weekend at Mugello.
Ferrari Challenge North America driver Romanelli left it late to move to the top of the times, posting a 1m53.288s in the closing stages of the 30 minute session.
That was enough to edge out Emmanuel Anassis by almost half a second, with erstwhile pacesetter John Weiland settling for third, albeit quickest among the North America Trofeo Pirelli Am contingent.
Weiland's class rivals Anthony Imperato and Ross Garber both took turns leading early on, finishing the session in fourth and fifth respectively.
In the European Coppa Shell category, Erich Prinoth put in a scintillating effort good enough for second overall, only to have the time deleted. That handed class pole to Jacques Duyver, crowned champion in Friday's race, ahead of Rick Lovat and Thomas Loefflad.
North American Coppa Shell honours meanwhile fell to Jean-Claude Saada.
