Philip Glew took pole position for round three on the championship on his final lap of the session. The Soper Sport driver chose an extremely conservative strategy to go fastest by 0.063s from Stian Sorlie.

Sorlie and Tim Bridgman, joint championship leader after winning at Thruxton, both set their quickest laps at the same time midway though the session with Sorlie faster by just 0.008 seconds. The pair moved ahead of Juao Urbano who had just set his fastest time of 46.620s.

James Sutton was lapping extremely consistently and completed an incredible 21 consecutive flying laps. His fastest lap of 46.735s put him behind Urbano but, despite several further attempts, was not able to improve on this time.

Glew, however, did just seven competitive flying laps and on the final lap he improved his time by two tenths of a second to become quickest. Several minor off-track excursions had made the track quite dusty and Ry Leon, at the back of the field, was the only driver able to improve on his time towards the end.
