New TV deal confirmed for the Formula BMW UK Championship 2007.

Bracknell, 22 March, 2007. The Formula BMW UK Championship has confirmed a new live television coverage deal with leading broadcaster Setanta Sports for the 2007 season, along with a new online partnership agreement with Crash.Net.

The revised broadcast package includes a mixture of live TV coverage and highlights programmes including the weekly 'Motorsport UK' series on ITV1 on Sunday nights.

Hosted by Louise Goodman and Ted Kravitz, the show, which receives an average half a million viewers per episode, returns to the screens on May 20. It will also be repeated in a prime time slot on Men and Motors.

Live coverage of the entire BTCC package has moved to satellite channel Setanta Sports, one of the leading international sports broadcasters. The channel will televise the full BTCC racing programme each Sunday throughout the 2007 season beginning on April 1 from Brands Hatch.

In addition, the UK's premier motorsport news website, Crash.Net, has launched a dedicated Formula BMW channel including audio coverage on Crash Radio.

Peter Walker, General Manager, Sports Marketing, BMW (UK) commented: "This is great news for the Formula BMW UK Championship. Both the new television package and dedicated channel on Crash.Net will offer valuable exposure for drivers, their teams and associated partners."
