The Kanye West Foundation joins Driver Philip Major for Formula BMW World Finals in Valencia, Spain
Foundation-Sponsored Race Car to Debut Helping Children's Causes
OTTAWA, ONTARIO (November 17, 2006) -- Philip Major, along with his AIM Autosport team, announced today that he has teamed up with six time Grammy award-winning producer/rapper Kanye West and his foundation for the upcoming Formula BMW World Finals in Valencia, Spain. The race car, driven by Major and sponsored by Kanye West Foundation, will bear logos and marks designed by Kanye West, along with the United Nations World Food Program logo. Both are intended to further the awareness around childrens's causes, in particular youth education/development and world hunger issues, respectively.
"This is a great opportunity for me," Major said of the association with Kanye West Foundation. "Kanye West is an inspiration to many, especially kids, and I am happy to help promote his Foundation and his causes on a world stage like the Formula BMW World Finals."

By also bearing the United Nations World Food Program logo on his car, West will help bring attention to some of the world's poorest children as well. The World Food Program feeds an average of 90 million hungry people per year, including 58 million children. In developing countries, malnutrition contributes to more than half of the more than 10 million deaths of children under 5-years old.
The entire effort was spearheaded by Scott Taylor of TAOW Motosports, a marketing agency based in Portland, Oregon.
