First row for in Monte Carlo for Coloni Motorsport and Ricardo Sperafico.

The young Coloni's Brazilian star, Ricardo Sperafico, earned today the first row in the Friday qualifying session of the F.I.A. F.3000 International Monaco Grand Prix. On the narrow and winding streets of the Principality Sperafico scored an excellent time of 1.26.160 that will allow him to start from the second position in grid.

Zsolt Baumgartner will start from the tenth position, but the Hungarian has been hindered by the bad luck: he was always in the first five positions in the first part of the session, but then Zsolt has been delayed by slower cars, which prevented him from further improving his time (1.27.744). The JordanF1 tester was always able to catch up quickly during the race, as happened in Imola or Austria, and Baumgartner will exploit well for sure the fifth row.

The race will take place Saturday at h.17 local time (GMT +1).

Zsolt Baumgartner, driver (10th): "I'm quite happy, I was fifth in the free practice and in the first part of the qualifying too. Unfortunately I met a lot of traffic in the last part of the session, I couldn't improve and so I finished in tenth position. The car is very good, really fast and I'm sure that tomorrow I will get a great result".

Ricardo Sperafico, driver (2nd): "An excellent qualifying, I'm only a bit upset for the traffic and yellow flags that delayed me: I wasn't able to have two or three consecutive laps 'clear', I could have took certainly the pole position. Tomorrow I hope above all to make a good start, fundamental on a track like this".
