Kuala Lumpur Wednesday 5th April 2000 - TAG HEURE Malaysia announced a long term tie up with Malaysia's Formula 1 aspirant Alex Yoong as TAG HEUER's ambassador for Malaysia and Singapore at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur.

"I am honoured by this tie-up with a great brand. TAG HEUER's brand will be on my helmet in almost the same positions as Ayrton Senna had on his helmet and on yellow background as well." said an elated Alex who is currently campaigning in Formula Nippon in Japan with the LeMans run TEAM MALAYSIA. .
